A songwriter, author and actor, Jose Antonio Ponce began writing and performing at age 16. He has worked as a roadie and tour manager for bands like Jefferson Airplane, Led Zepplin, Willie Nelson and more. All the while, Jose continued to write.
He has worked as an actor in film and TV including Paul, Frontera, Better Call Saul, Sicario, Spare Parts, Graves, Messiah, Nightshift and more. He has worked as a radio personality, a record promoter, actor, film maker, music producer and more. In 1990, he joined the national touring folk group The Windsor Creek Trio and continues to tour with the band as its bassist. He has also been a stand up comic.
Jose has hundreds of stories from a lifetime in music and film, from breakfast with Brenda Russell to dinner with Barry White. He told some of these stories in his books Lunch Hour with additional works include 53-Coming of Age in the 70s, From Father to Son…, his first novel, Killing Coyote and a book of Modern Catholic Prayers.
